Yoga + Massage

I believe combining the elements of Thai Massage and Yoga is the most effective approach to healing pain.

Here’s why:

Have you received bodywork and felt great for a couple of days afterwards, but the pain comes back? I went through this personally for years! It was so frustrating.

Here is what I found: the body needs the bodywork to find release, create space, AND it also needs to learn a new pattern through physical movement and education. The combination of release and learning a new pattern seeing the body as a whole was key for me to unlock chronic pain and to many of the clients I have been working with over the last 8 years.

These sessions are very customized, but here are a few examples:

Example 1: You move, then I move you. After assessing your body and getting your input we focus on a part of the body that will benefit from stretch/movement. You actively do that stretch/movement then I do the same to you so the body can now relax, release tension/pain and learn a new range. Also, adding in breathwork and bodywork brings a whole body holistic approach to our healing. We do this with multiply poses.

I have 3 general areas I work on in a 60 min time frame: Neck/Shoulder, Pelvis/Abdomen, or Legs/Feet.

Example 2: We walk you through a Yoga practice filled with movement, breath, and/or Yoga philosophy then I give you a Thai massage. This allows me to specifically que your body and get curious on what feels helpful to YOUR body. We can even record it so you have a practice to take home (extra charge.) After the practice I give you a massage so you call fully absorb your practice.

The session will look differently for each individual, but always remember the more you help and direct our sessions the more empowered you will feel and many times this allows you to heal faster.
